I couldn’t resist posting a little rant about Internet marketing dreams.
It seems that much of what we read about the subject is how people strive to make the big bucks so they can hang around a beach and watch the money roll in. Don’t get me wrong, the beach is a great goal.
In fact setting goals are an important part of growing any business. A more effective way to set goals is to make them personal. Setting a goal to create a business that includes systems to free up time to spend with our grandchildren is a personal driving force for me.
Dream big but make it personal…
A good coach can be a big asset in helping to achieve our dreams. Whether the dream is to lay around a beach sipping a margarita, surfing the ocean waves or skiing your favorite ski slopes. A personal goal is more effective than just a monetary goal.
The thing about having a good coach get you to your goals, is that they can be pretty demanding. Most of us can usually use some good old fashioned discipline so we stay on focus.
After some solid coaching from Mark Hendricks, I like to relax a little, allowing all the new techniques to sink in. While some go to their favorite beach to relax, my preference is to spend time with our grandkids.
Whether we run around outside chasing bugs, playing on the swing set or just plain goofing off. A good Internet marketing coach will help make those dreams a reality.
After some intense coaching, a nice power nap with one of my little buddies helps to recharge my marketing brain. Yea, that’s me dreaming up some new Internet marketing plans. As you can see, I have a helper as my secret weapon. For me, it’s not all about making money, the freedom to do whatever you want to do is even bigger than the money.
Doing whatever it takes to achieve a grand goal becomes easier when the goal includes others. There is nothing better for me than to have more free time to spend with my wife and grandchildren. Personalizing goals makes a huge difference, what sort of goals or objectives do you have?
In Summary…
We all should set big goals, nothing new there. Setting a personal goal, making all you do more personal makes reaching any goal more attainable. The big key here is personalizing goals for you, give yourself some good reasons for working so hard and none of the work will seem like hard work any more. One simple little shift in thinking, one substantial impact on your business and personal lives.
For attaining any goal in business, it makes no sense to go it alone. Hire an affordable coach to help put all the pieces to the puzzle in place for you. While there are many places to find a coach, Mark Hendricks has a proven track record for success. Try out Mark’s Internet Success System to achieve all your business goals. Affordable coaching, good bang for the buck.
After an exhausting session with your Internet marketing coach, go take a power nap and dream about your new Internet lifestyle. Or just head for the beach, whatever your goal happens to be, take action and make it a reality.

John,
You make some valid points about setting personalized goals. It’s a fact that setting a concrete goal and visualizing it with emotion will help you reach that goal much quicker than just mentally telling yourself you want a particular thing.
While it’s perfectly okay to set a goal of making $25,000 on the internet in the next two months and then visualizing yourself depositing that money into your account, it would be much more powerful to decide what you would like to do with that money and then vividly visualize yourself as having reached that goal.
For example, let’s say you want that $25,000 to put an in-ground pool in your backyard. Take 15 minutes to do this…Find a comfortable place to relax where you won’t be disturbed. You can sit or lie down, but don’t go to sleep. Close your eyes and take 3 or 4 deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Then, in your mind’s eye, visualize the pool you want. What shape is it? Rectangle? Kidney shaped? How big is it? How many steps lead into it? What shape are those steps? Are they rounded or squared? What color is the pool? Is it light aqua or a deep, rich blue color? See the sun shimmering off the surface of the water. Is there a fence around the pool? Are there children laughing and playing or is it peaceful and quiet? Take a deep breath. What does the water smell like? Wade into the water and feel the coolness against your warm skin. How does having this pool make you feel? Happy? Relaxed? Do you get a sense of pride and accomplishment?
I believe you probably get the idea by now. Take a few minutes in the morning right after you wake up and in the evening just before you go to sleep to do this visualization and you’ll have that pool in no time.
It doesn’t matter whether you want a new house, car, boat, a better relationship with your spouse or a Rolex watch, you can have whatever you want if you if you vividly imagine yourself as already having what you desire, feel the emotions associated with it and then take action toward achieving your goal!

Internet Marketing Mindset
Hi John,
That little buddy sleeping with Grandpa is the best marketing coach you could ever learn from!
That’s a great pic!
One of the most valuable benefits of working with a coach is a coaches ability to ask questions that you may not have thought to ask.
And of course the quality of your answers is a direct result of the quality of your questions and the accuracy of your answers to those questions.
By having a coach that will continually ask questions of you, you grow in new ways that lead to more knowledge, experience and wisdom in whatever field of expertise you work in.
I’m sure that “little buddy†will have lots of questions for Grandpa as time goes by.
My best wishes to you and your loved ones.
Mark
Great post, John. Spending time with “silent” partners is definitely a goal worth achieving.
I’ve never had much luck with dollar goals … it’s all about what I can do with those dollars that inspires me.
I had an off line business that made me lots of dollars, but left little time for anything else. The great thing about an internet business is it can go with you anywhere and much of it can be automated, allowing time for those power naps you so aptly illustrated.
