Hey Michael,

Coming from a real master mind mapper, thank you for the complements on my mind mapping article. I did have some serious help in getting the inside secrets, didn't I?

I completely agree with you on the power of masterminding your ideas better with a mind map. I was one of those that used lists before learning how to use maps. The ability to move ideas around, add new ideas or even eliminate the crappy ideas is very cool.

Now about your PS. Thanks for letting my secret out. The marketing power of grandpa having little buddies as marketing magnets was a secret. Well, the secret is out now, marketing magnets come in many forms. My marketing magnets happen to be cute and irresistible.

Thanks for stopping by Michael, your input and insights on mind mapping are always welcome.

Hey John,

Great post about Mind Mapping.

You are right, it is an extremely powerful tool for generating ideas and the reason is that it allows for free flowing thoughts to be captured very easily.

Not only that, the way it is structured actually stimulates the generation of even more ideas because of the brain's associative mechnanism.

You can still get some ideas from creating a list but very quickly your stream of consciousness will dry up - however with Mind Mapping, it keeps tapping deeper and deeper into your subconscious where the best ideas lay - those that are out of the reach of the basic list method.

Regards

Michael

PS - with your beautiful little buddy on your team, the rest of us have no hope in this marketing game LOL
