Rich did a great job with this mind map and woke up thousands of struggling marketers with a sharp dose of reality. Note that this is really only the tip of the iceberg, the mind map shown would go much deeper if it was put to use.

Just looking at this mind map makes me tired.

So many people attempt to do everything in their business. Without ways to manage the information overload as well as all that goes into building a real business, overwhelmed is an understatement.

Is it any wonder so many people struggle to get their business off the ground? To build a real business requires a great deal of effort and attention to detail.

The secret power of mind maps

Mind maps are the secret weapon of the marketing gurus. To be honest, when I saw mind maps for the first time, I thought they were just pretty pictures. How about you?

Most people that use mind maps, only use them to organize a single set of tasks. Using mind maps for single processes is fine, but creating mind maps that tie all the processes together gives you more power to run a business more efficiently.

Imagine running everything in your business with one integrated series of mind maps. That is the secret of the gurus. The mind numbing amount of information and details can be organized easily once you know the secret techniques.

Not nearly as overwhelming when all the tasks that need done are organized into a master mind map. Note that the map shown here is just an example, my real mind map has a bit more detail to it. This graphic is just to show how a complex set of tasks can be organized with a master mind map.

Each branch in this mind map has multiple maps inside the branches. Every task can be broken down into manageable processes that make running a complex business more efficient. The amount of time that this level of organization saves is significant. The benefit in my case is more time to spend goofing off with our grand children.

Is it any wonder the gurus are kicking our royal… well you know?

The mind map software used by most professionals is Mindjet. Using the software has a bit of a learning curve. I had the pleasure of having a great teacher show me all the tricks and secret techniques the gurus use. No sense wasting more time learning when time is better spent building a real business.

Incorporating the organizing power of mind maps into a business saves time and money. Having a course that teaches the guru secrets costs less than a couple of nice dinners out with my wife. Real bang for the buck and actually increases the value of all courses or training material that I own.

Think about that for a minute. Mindjet used properly with the marketing guru techniques, saves time, money, and increases the value of all the information that is scattered all over most of our hard drives!
